Collage dance School
The over-arching goal of Collage’s classroom approach is to educate students about the craft of classical ballet, inspire students to develop an affinity towards art and culture, uplift and encourage students to feel confident and secure and instill discipline as an effective tool to use in all facets of their daily lives.

Petit Pas ISmall Steps, Tiny steps
This program meets on Saturdays for 1 hour. See schedule below.
In this introductory ballet program, the young student will learn musicality to a range of classical music compositions. The program will acquaint students with the French language and introduce them to classical ballet concepts. The student will develop body coordination while learning to dance with a group. Various creative movement exercises will be used to encourage the student's ability to express their individuality within the discipline of classical ballet.
Attire for young ladies – white leotard, flesh colored tights and ballet shoes. Hair must always be neatly pulled in a bun or away from face and pinned.
Attire for young men – white t-shirt, black tights and ballet shoes.
Petit Pas II & III Small Steps, Tiny steps
These programs meet on Saturdays for 1 hour. See schedule below.
Pre-requisite: Petit Pas I or consent of the instructor.
In Petit Pas II and Petit Pas III, the young student will learn musicality to a wide range of musical genres. Concepts introduced in Petit Pas I will be reinforced along with an introduction to the concepts of turnout and proper dorsal alignment. Creative movement exercises will be further used to encourage the student's ability to move as a group.
Attire for young ladies – white leotard, flesh colored tights and ballet shoes. Hair must always be neatly pulled in a bun or away from face and pinned.
Attire for young men – white t-shirt, black tights and ballet shoes.
Tarantella I Energy, Transformation
This program meets on Mondays and Wednesdays for 1.5 hours. See schedule below.
In this highly energetic program the young student will learn and master basic ballet positions through a curriculum which utilizes the Vaganova and Maggie Black ballet techniques. Emphasis will be placed on perfecting the proper body alignment required for advanced ballet instruction. Students will learn stretching exercises to encourage healthy mobility of the joints, tendons and muscles. The student will continue to grow their French vocabulary.
Attire for young ladies – hunter green leotard, flesh colored tights and ballet shoes. Hair must always be neatly pulled in a bun or away from face and pinned.
Attire for young men – white t-shirt, black tights and ballet shoes.
Tarantella II Energy, Transformation
This program meets on Mondays and Wednesdays for 1.5 hours. See schedule below.
Pre-requisite: Tarantella I or consent of the instructor.
Concepts introduced in Tarantella I will be reinforced with emphasis placed on learning a complete ballet barre and center with proper body alignment required for advanced ballet instruction. The student will continue to grow their French vocabulary.
Attire for young ladies – hunter green leotard, flesh colored tights and ballet shoes. Hair must always be neatly pulled in a bun or away from face and pinned.
Attire for young men – white t-shirt, black tights and ballet shoes.
Etude I & II To study
Ages: 10-16
This program meets on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays for 1.5 hours. See schedule below.
Pre-requisite: Tarantella II or consent of the instructor.
The curriculum for this program utilizes various classical techniques, including the Opera de Paris French School, Maggie Black, Cecchetti and Balanchine. This comprehensive class will provide the student with solid ballet technique that will prepare them for introduction and mastery of other dance disciplines and genres.
Attire for young ladies – purple leotard, flesh colored tights and ballet shoes. Hair must always be neatly pulled in a bun or away from face and pinned.
Attire for young men – white t-shirt, grey tights and ballet shoes.
